It’s fairly typical that owners of a PC with a dedicated graphics card are regularly prompted to update their drivers. When it comes to AMD, however, there is generally speaking something a little different. Around once a year, an ‘overhaul’ of their Radeon graphics software/driver is released. In recent years, this has taken the form of ‘Adrenalin’ which, if you have an AMD based graphics card, you should be more than familiar with.
Well, following reports from yesterday, it has now been confirmed that the Adrenalin 2019 update is now available to download in Beta form.
The update notes are rather extensive. Too expensive in fact to really make this readable if I was to include them in full here. In brief, however, many games will see minor improvements following the update and, in addition, many of the key features of the Adrenalin software (such as relive and Vulkan) have been updated to provide better results and more functionality.
In addition, AMD GPU owners will also have access to better overclocking features. This will certainly be convenient for those who want to try it, but are a little scared.
As this is a beta update, the chances are that you will not be automatically prompted to opt for this. If you do, however, wish to download the update manually (and check the full update notes) you can do so via the official AMD website in the link here!
