With AMD announcing the general consumer release of its new 7900 series of graphics cards, we daresay that there are more than a few of you reading this with your pre-orders, if not already en route, then surely shortly set to be dispatched. Being new graphics cards, however, it is of course important to have your drivers ready for the most optimal level of performance right out of the box!
Well, in this regard AMD has you thoroughly covered as the release of their latest Adrenalin 22.12.1 comes with full support for the new 7900 series!
AMD Radeon Adrenalin 22.12.1 Driver Update
In terms of driver updates, this one is actually quite straightforward. Rather than providing you with any Game Ready optimisations or general bug fixes (as you might usually expect), it literally just brings official support for the newly released 7900 XT and 7900 XTX graphics cards. Yep, that’s it in its entirety.
As such, presuming you don’t own a 7900 series GPU, you can feel 100% free to skip this one and wait for the next more generalised update which will likely drop in the next week or so.
If you do, however, want to learn more and get your download in place for the arrival of your shiny new AMD graphics card, check out the official driver support website here!
