AMD Releases Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.3.3 Optional Drivers

AMD

In a surprising turn of events, we are getting treated to the third driver release from AMD this month. Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.3.3 is the latest optional beta driver which follows up on 17.3.2 and 17.3.1. Unfortunately, it looks like 17.3.3 is just a very minor update, meant to contain some fixes that couldn’t make it in time for 17.3.2. The headline feature is a multi-GPU profile for Mass Effect: Andromeda.

The DX 11 multi-GPU profile can be enabled using the command line “-RenderDevice.AmdCrossfireEnable 1”. This is set from the set launch options panel in Origin for the game. In addition to the profile, we have a single fixed issue which deals with flickering textures in  Mass Effect: Andromeda for multi-GPU configurations. Other than that, there are no other real additions.

As noted earlier, the reason we are getting 17.3.3 so quickly after the previous release is that these features were likely meant for 17.3.2 but just didn’t make it in time. AMD had to release their game optimised drivers in time for launch. Perhaps this may mean we may get another release next week that is more substantial. You can find the driver downloads and full release notes here.
