AMD Releases More “Realistic” 7800X3D Gaming Benchmarks Against 13900K

With the upcoming Ryzen 7 7800X3D we saw benchmarks from AMD demonstrating the chip in being up to 24% faster than the 13900k. The results provided there were mostly cherry-picked from the best-performing games but now AMD has released the full more accurate benchmarks for gaming.
7800X3D VS 13900K, The Full Benchmarks
AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D was previously shown as being up to 24% faster than the 13900k however these results were only from the top-performing games however now AMD has released, as a part of the 7800X3D review kit, their full benchmarks. Revealed by VideoCardz are the full benchmarks from AMD which pit the chip against the Intel Core i9 13900K and show the two chips in 21 games.
Up to 7% Faster on Average
The benchmarks show 21 games ranging from a 31% performance uplift in Horizon Zero Dawn all the way down to a 9% loss in CS:GO. In total 5 out of the 21 games tested had a noticeably lower performance which means most games will feature an increase which on average is around 7%. Of course, this is AMD’s testing and we will have to wait for the official independent reviews to see the real picture.
The 7800X3D is an 8C/16T CPU with a boost clock of 5GHz, a 104MB L2+L3 cache and a TDP of 120W. The 7800X3D is set to launch on April 6th at a cost of $449 which is $50 more than the 7700X, whether it is a good price we will only know on April 6th.
