Following shortly on last month’s release, AMD has dropped another driver version, the first for October. As expected, the new release is a beta hotfix but we should be getting a WHQL release later this month or in November if they keep to their release unofficial cadence. This time, the key additions are support for Gears of War 4 and Mafia III as well as Crossfire support for Shadow Warrior 2.
In terms of fixes, there are 4 fixes for Crossfire stability and flickering. Honestly, the state of Crossfire and SLI isn’t that great so we’ll hopefully see DX12 multi-adapter take off soon as a replacement. AMD’s own Radeon software are also getting some fixes as well. In terms of known issues, there aren’t that many right now but some of them have been there for a while so we might see some fixes for those soon. You can find the full release notes and download links here.
