This latest update to the Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition driver from AMD is one Red Team gamers will appreciate, adding new support and optimisations for several popular titles. Frostpunk 2, God of War Ragnarök, are going to benefit, and there the new The Sims 4 DirectX 11 update, so that game should now be smoother than ever on AMD hardware.
Furthermore, AMD Radeon Boost support has been expanded to FINAL FANTASY XVI, while HYPR-Tune now automatically sets up AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 and AMD Radeon Anti-Lag 2 in select titles. All of these improve the gameplay experience and responsiveness for AMD users.
Aside from performance enhancement, this update fixed several stability issues reported in games like Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and FINAL FANTASY XVI. Additionally, visual glitches and unexpected behaviours have been addressed for Black Myth: Wukong and Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR’S CUT. However, known issues still persist, which include performance dips during Day-Z and possible driver timeouts experienced in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 on some systems. Overall, this driver update really speaks to the effort put in by AMD to fine-tune the gaming experience for its users-with key support for new releases and refining those that already exist toward better performance and visuals.
No doubt we’ll have further updates soon too, but if you’re playing any of these games, it’s well worth updating to the preview driver ASAP.
