While running Far Cry Primal on a 1080p display, the RX 470 Crossfire scales quite poorly and only reports a 10 frames-per-second improvement.
In contrast to this, the 1440p gains are decent and offer performance within a few frames of the 1080p results. This is very unusual and suggests an additional factor is holding back the cards at lower resolutions.
Here we can see the RX 470 Crossfire almost matches the GTX 1080 which is an incredible feat given the massive price difference. Saying that, the minimum frame-rate is lower which creates a more jarring user experience.
