Cost Per Frame
So some interesting performance differences from AMD as well as how things compare to NVIDIA as things are a lot closer in certain areas, but for the most part, the 7800 XT is the winner in terms of rasterisation performance, and with a bigger pool of games, it’s worth taking a look at how things stack up from a value for money perspective
So what does this mean in terms of value for money? Well, I can honestly say that it’s refreshing for new GPU to come out and actually offer a semi-sensible value-for-money argument. Out of all of the launches from both AMD and NVIDIA, the 7800 XT comes in as a very strong contender at just $3.32 per frame, with its predecessor coming in 7% more expensive per frame, though the more noticeable numbers come by way of the 4060 Ti which demands another 17% more per frame and the RTX 4070 which comes in an astonishing 32% more expensive per frame and for less performance overall and I’ll touch on the value a little later on as we wrap things up.
