AMD Ryzen 7000 Prices Leak(?) Ahead of Launch

AMD is set to host its Ryzen 7000 launch event later today (well, midnight in the UK to be precise) and while we’ll clearly see a lot revealed about the upcoming next-generation of processors, some consumers might possibly be more curious about how much they’re going to cost. – With AMD transitioning to an AM5 socket on their new Zen4 architecture, combined with global inflation and general market pressures, it did seem possible that when compared to prior generations, prices could potentially be set to, comparatively speaking, go up a little.
Well, with the event set for midnight tonight (again, UK time) following a report via TechPowerUp, information has appeared online which may have potentially leaked how much the new Ryzen 7000 CPUs are going to cost. And the good news is that, give or take, things seem to be staying the same!
AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU Prices Leak Out Early!
Firstly, we should note that this leak does, once again, add to the rumour that AMD will kick off its Ryzen 7000 series with four models with others likely set to arrive in early 2023. Based on these prices, however, the good news is that, by and large, the Ryzen 7000 launch line-up will be retaining (more or less) the same pricing structure seen on prior generations:
- Ryzen 5 7600X – $299.99
- Ryzen 7 7700X – $449.99
- Ryzen 9 7900X – $549.99
- Ryzen 9 7950X – $799.99
As noted above though, in the early hours of tomorrow morning we should have full and final confirmation not just of these aforementioned CPUs specifications, but all going well, confirmation that this is indeed what they should, roughly speaking, cost when they hit retailers reportedly on September 27th.
