AMD Ryzen R5 1500X Quad-Core AM4 Processor Review

Memory Benchmarks

Memory Bandwidth

Memory performance is pretty fantastic here, and it just goes to show the difference of using our new 3200MHz kit with Ryzen. We don’t normally include overclocking results on this section, however, you can see that there’s some impressive gains to be had in read, write and copy speeds by overclocking the CPU.

Memory Latency

Again we see quite high latency for Ryzen, but still showing improvement over the R7, and even more so when the chip is overclocked. Hopefully, a few more tweaks to the BIOS and microcode will iron out this further in the near future.

So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
