AMD Ryzen R5 1600X Heaxcore Cinebench Leaked

With under 10 days to go until launch, more leaks for AMD’s Ryzen processors have surfaced. So far, many of the leaked benchmarks have been for the top end octa-core models. Those of course, will be the launch models we will be getting right away. The rest of the lineup has seen fewer leaks but this ends today. We now have leaked Cinebench scores for what appears to be the R5 1600X hexacore.
The R5 1600X features 6 cores and 12 threads, clocking in at 3.3 GHz base and 3.7 GHz boost. While the leaked scores can’t be confirmed, they do appear to be single threaded and multi-threaded results for Cinebench R15. For single thread, we have 146 and a multi-threaded comes in at 1136. Single threaded performance places it at just about where i7 5930K does while the multi-threaded score comes in on par with the i7 6800k, both of whom are Intel hexacores.
As we’ve seen from previous benchmarks, AMD’s new Zen architecture is very impressive indeed. Just as promised, AMD appears to have delivered on their 40%+ IPC gain and perhaps even more. What is even crazier is that the R5 1600X reportedly costs only $260, well below Intel’s hexacore chips. If AMD manages this price/performance ratio, Intel will have no option but to dramatically slash their prices.
