Interestingly, the 1700 scored slightly higher than the 1700X here, although it should obviously be the other way around. We suspect it was a problem with thermal throttling, but it’s still a good result overall.
Rise of the Tomb Raider
This is more like it, the 1700X is back on form, and keeping up with the Intel big boys, although it’s still the 1800X that dominated the cart by a significant margin.
Shadow of Mordor
Once again, the 1700X puts up a good score, but pay close attention that there is very little deviation in numbers between any of the CPUs here.
