Yesterday, we saw the first leaks of the Ryzen processors and the new integrated heat spreader design. Unfortunately, that leak missed out on the close of the new Ryzen design. Today, we now have a closer shot of the Ryzen logo but some other details have been blurred out in turn. We can see that the processor model does feature very nicely at the top and rest of the information at the bottom.
In addition to the top, we also have a better picture of the back side. The design should feature 1331 pins for the 1331 PGA AM4 socket. This is a massive growth in pin count and it is evidenced by the denser layout. As we’ve seen earlier, the design has more similarities with the FM2 design with an empty space likely meant to house protruding components on the socket side.
Last of all, we also have some benchmarks scores as well. Fire Strike physics comes in at 17916 which is around previous leaks. Clocking in at 3.5 GHz, it scores a CPUmark of 583 which is about on par with Intel offerings. In Cinebench R15, the 1537 score blows away the Intel opposition by nearly 200 points, likely due to the higher clocks and XFR. It will be interesting to determine the IPC of Ryzen once the chips finally release.
