AMD’s new Ryzen processors are so close, we can almost smell them already. Earlier today, we had the official unveiling of the new first processors in this new family and their respective MSRPs. With $499 for the 1800X, $399 for the 1700X, and $329 for the 1700, the rumours were right on track.
One thing is the MSRPs, another thing is the actual price at retailers and online shops. With the NDA lifted, the first ones of those have their product sites online and you can now pre-order them. That includes pre-order price guarantee for Amazon. At least for now. US prices are also a bit vague for us here in Europe and even more so with the price hikes in the UK.
Looking at actual listings, the 95W Ryzen 1800X with 4GHz Turbo can be yours for £489.98, the 95W Ryzen 1700X with 3.8GHz Boost will set you back £389.99, while the smallest of the three new processors with a 65W TDP rating, the Ryzen 1700 with a 3.7GHz Boost, can be yours for just £319.99.
Are you ready for Ryzen already or are you still awaiting reviews benchmarks before you make up your mind? Do let us know in the comments. For your convenience, I’ve attached the specification highlights of the three chips below.
