Gaming performance on this CPU is, well, it’s a bit lacklustre if I’m honest. Not that I’m bothered, as if you’re buying this for a purely gaming PC build, then you’re not really doing your research. The performance is still more than good enough to play games though, don’t get me wrong. However, I’d see it more as suitable for games developers who need the extra cores for rendering a scene, but enough grunt to also test that software on the same system. It’ll also work well enough for game streamers, as the extra cores will take the load off of capture, rendering and streaming software.
