AMD Threadripper “Zen3” CPUs Expected to Arrive in September

Putting the ‘Pro’ variants to one side, it has been over 18-months now since AMD last released anything new from their highly-popular Threadripper series. However, following a report via Videocardz, fresh sources are claiming that the Zen3-based Threadripper designs are indeed coming and, better still, might be set for release within the next few months!
AMD Zen3 Threadripper CPUs
AMD Threadripper has proven to be an exceptionally popular release for HEDT consumers. This isn’t even simply based on their performance, which in terms of workloads is excellent. A key factor in this has been that, comparatively speaking, they have often been significantly more affordable than Intel’s alternatives. – As for something new and updated, however, in the report, a reliable source is adding to the prior speculation that AMD will officially announce their new Zen3 Threadripper processors in August with a release date in September.
The good news, however, does not end there!
Champagne Performance on a Beer Budget!
In what will undoubtedly represent excellent news to many, the source claims that AMD will continue to retain their more budget-focused 16-core/32-Thread Threadripper platform. While there will, of course, be some obscenely potent models available (and we have heard 128-core mentioned more than once), for those who are looking for a workstation solution on a fairly restricted budget, this will likely be one of the best performing, and, perhaps most importantly, affordable options around!
So, if this information is proven accurate, expect to hear more (and official) news this August! And if you are planning to check them out, start saving as, all going well, they’ll be releasing just one month later!
