AMD To Be Starfield’s Exclusive PC Partner

AMD To Be Exclusive Partner To Starfield

AMD has been working together with Bethesda as an exclusive PC partner as announced today. Within a video detailing their partnership, they confirm that this deal means AMD’s Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs will be specially optimised for the game plus will feature FSR2 upscaling technology from launch. The optimisations that will be introduced utilise highly multi-threaded code that can be taken advantage of on both PC and Xbox for better quality and performance.

Starfield is one of the most highly anticipated games of recent years and this should be a good partnership for AMD and hopefully will also lead to good optimisation at least on AMD components. With the mention of FSR 2 there is also the question of DLSS and even Intel’s XeSS, for example, Cyberpunk 2077 which is in partnership with NVIDIA, features DLSS, FSR 2 and XeSS. The quality of the three is debatable at times but I personally choose DLSS due to owning NVIDIA and finding that it has the best quality compared to the others at least on CyberPunk.
