AMD’s second generation of Accelerated Processing Units (APU), codename Trinity, will become available this month. They will begin selling the mobile parts in laptops and notebooks through partners retailing netbooks and notebooks. Unfortunately for PC enthusiasts the desktop Trinity processors will not arrive until August which is still some distance away. DigiTimes reports that the new Piledriver microarchitecture-based Trinity APUs will offer up to a 25% increase in processing performanceand up to a 50% increase in graphics performance, over current-generation Llano APUs.
