Following the conclusion of AMD’s ‘Meet the Experts’ event, we have just seen a whole host of new upcoming AM5 motherboard models confirmed from pretty much every major manufacturer out there. With these all likely set to represent their key flagship designs, therefore, for anyone interested or looking to be an early adopter of Ryzen 7000, these are definitely worth checking out!
While we can likely expect official individual announcements and press releases over the coming days, getting some of the key points out of the way very quickly, it seems that AM5 X670 motherboards will offer PCIe Gen5 storage support, Gen5 support for next-gen graphics cards, and also that at least all apparent X670 motherboards (or at least those revealed during this event) will be DDR5 exclusive. This seemingly confirms a prior rumour that AM5 will have limited or possibly no support for DDR4 memory.
Let’s take a quick look, however, at some of the AMD AM5 motherboard models revealed at the event.
For information on individual motherboards, while it’s doubtful that official websites will have been launched yet, you are, of course, welcome to check out any of the following links where information may be available:
