Following in the footsteps of Nvidia’s GeForce 350.12 WHQL driver optimized for GTA V, AMD released its own set of Catalyst 15.4 beta drivers, which is set to enable “peak driver performance optimization” for the highly anticipated game. Apart from the obvious tweaks and improvements, the driver also comes with brand new Crossfire profiles for Grand Theft Auto V and for a few other games such as Dying Light, Mortal Combat X, Galactic Civilizations III, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition. Furthermore, AMD implemented Crossfire profile updates for Battlefield Hardline, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Far Cry 4 and Sniper Elite 3.
It’s always a good idea to keep your GPU or APU drivers up to date, which is why you should go ahead and install the new Catalyst before firing up the most amazing Grand Theft Auto game to date. Even though GTA V features a lot of eye-candy as well as a massive open world, its system requirements are nothing to panic about, which hints that Rockstar has done a pretty good job at optimizing this title for the PC. Pair that with fresh, dedicated drivers from AMD and you should be looking at a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience even if you don’t own the most powerful hardware.
