Recently some information surfaced regarding another Golden Rabbit Edition AMD Radeon graphics card this time as the RX 6750 GRE. Today some more information about this card has surfaced and it isn’t exactly promising.
RX 6750 GRE, An OverClocked RX 6700
As shared by VideoCardz, more information has come out surrounding this card which has placed it in a strange position. The original leak of this card claimed 4060 Ti performance which would have placed it near identically or faster than the RX 6750 XT though today’s news puts that into question. Hoang Anh Phu has shared on Twitter the claim that the RX 6750 GRE is simply an overclocked RX 6700 with 10GB of VRAM as opposed to the 12GB seen on the RX 6700 XT and RX 6750 XT. The RX 6700 was a card that had a limited launch and was initially sold as a mining GPU before being marketed towards gamers once the crypto boom ended. The RX 6700 also featured a TDP of 175 which with the GRE being overclocked, will likely be increased to compensate.
Like the RX 7900 GRE, this card will likely be a China Only and OEM card meaning that it won’t be shaking the market up over here in the West. The card also quite confusing as it appears on paper worse than the RX 6700 despite its 6750 naming, I’m not sure why they didn’t just go for RX 6700 GRE.
