Humble Bundle is currently in the midst of their Winter sale encore, with thousands of games discounted. However, they are also giving away the Amnesia Collection completely for free for the next 48 hours. Specifically, users have until January 27th 12PM noon Eastern Time (5PM British Time) to claim it. As usual, these games are free to keep once the user gets the key code. It also does not require any credit card or payment information to get. However, it does require a Humble Bundle registration (free).
The Amnesia Collection includes the award winning horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. While some fans are split on A Machine for Pigs, The Dark Descent has an overwhelmingly positive critical and fan score, ever since it came out in 2010. Both games by themselves cost $30 to $40 usually, so this is a very good deal considering it is free. Expect a well-made first-person survival horror nightmare with experiences which will last long after you stop playing. There is a reason many are quick to recommend The Dark Descent everytime to any horror movie buff. Frictional Games who made The Dark Descent, also made the award-winning SOMA a few years later.
The game is not only compatible with Windows, but Mac OSX, and Linux as well. If you are curious whether it would run on your system check out the system requirements below. However, since this game is approaching a decade old, the answer is most likely ‘yes’.
