There are plenty of themed hotels around the world, whether we’re talking about establishments with automotive themes, sci-fi themes, or suites dedicated to superheroes such as Batman and Superman. However, not a lot of hotels base their themes around gaming, except for this gem in Amsterdam. Dubbed Arcade Hotel, this place has opened its doors only recently, and it impresses with a plethora of gaming-related facilities and decorations. For example, every room has its own gaming console, while the bar area offers handheld consoles. There’s even a comic book library for those of you who want to get your nerd on.
Apparently, since the hotel’s management knows very well that you’ll probably spend your nights here gaming, the check-out policy allows you to turn in your key as late as 1 p.m. Located in the in the De Pijp part of Amsterdam, the Arcade Hotel boasts just 36 rooms right now, all of which are arranged in single, double and triple configurations, or in groups of four. Pricing starts off at €75 per night, which sounds fair considering that it includes access to the gaming gear. Even though some gamers might choose to spend their time here gaming away in solitude, meeting up with like-minded people at the bar is also a viable alternative.
