Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Rolls Out For Sony Xperia L

The Xperia L received the Android 4.2.2 update today. Android 4.2.2 15.3.A.0.26 firmware is a major update for the Xperia L, the previous version of the handset was android 4.1.2 15.0.A.2.17 firmware, and it is confirmed in regions such as Indonesia, India, Philippines, Central Europe and is available over PC Companion as well as via SUS.
The Xperia L will contain all the stock android 4.2.2 features which other Xperia smartphones got in this 700 Mb update, as well as updated media apps such as a new camera app, Walkman, Album and a UI refresh.

- New home screen UI, you can add up to 7 window panes now.
- Add more widgets in home screen and lock screen now.
- Bug fixes and performance enhancement.
- Superior auto mode ( auto scene recognition ) and Burst Mode feature added in Camera interface. Camera is certainly improved a lot in this update.
- Updated Sony Media apps.
- Small apps accessible from home screen.
- Improved search and app sorting now.
- New Keyboard added.
- Transparent status bar and dock at the bottom part on home screen.
- False memory notification bug is rectified.
- Day Dream feature added in display settings.
- More free RAM available now, up to 840 MB
Users who are hoping for an Android 4.3 update in the near future will also take into consideration the fact that the Xperia L is a mid-range handset, so don’t get your hopes up just yet.
