Android 4.4.2 Already Rolling Out For All Nexus Devices

The Android 4.4.1 update began just last week, but it looks like a new hotfix is already arriving as version 4.4.2. Users have reportedly started receiving an update for their Nexus devices in the last hour. It has been spotted so far on the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and the Nexus 7, and the Nexus 10 in the near future, according to an article from Android Police.
It seems that updates are on a roll as of late. Given the recent releases have a lot of major bugs in them, for example the newly released Nokia Lumia 2520 and its Sleep Mode issue, it does not come as a surprise for developers to release updates in such a short time. The real question here is why do they release hardware or software that is not yet ready for the market? That’s a really good question indeed.
Nonetheless, the 4.4.2 comes as a surprise to most people, therefore details about it are scarce. Android Police came across a few vague insights of what the update might contain, which are listed below. For now, Nexus users should just wait and see for themselves what the new update brings to their devices.
Enhancements/Fixes
- Fix for clearing the VM Indicator
- Fix for delivery of the VM Indicator
