Android growth has been exponential this year. Take a time trip back to May and you would have seen a staggering 400,000 activations occurring per day. Then onto July and this figure had jumped further to 550,000. Now the Android co-founder Andy Rubin has proudly announced that Android has reached a stunning 700,000 activations per day. Meaning there are now a huge 200 million activated Android devices which leaves Android about 50 million behind iOS devices but that is given the rather large head start Apple had. Android is catching up very fast.
700,000 devices a day works out to about 8 every single second. In fact by the time you have read this article about another 600 Android devices have been activated.
