HIS is one of AMD’s most valued AIB partners and produces a number of innovative designs. The company’s latest product is based on the Polaris 11 architecture and suitable for small-form-factor builds. The Radeon RX 460 iCooler OC employs a single 6-pin PCI-E connector, features an overclocked 1090MHz core clock and 1220MHz boost. Also, the 2GB memory runs at an effective speed of 7000MHz on a 128-bit interface. To keep the core temperatures low, HIS deployed their custom “Roaring” cooling shroud which revolves a single fan and black heatsink.
In terms of connectivity, the graphics card has DisplayPort 1.4a, HDMI 2.0b and dual-link DVI-D. Priced at 119 Euros including VAT, the HIS Radeon RX 460 iCooler OC offers exceptional value and is a great solution for those who play competitive multiplayer games like Dota 2 and League of Legends. Of course, it’s not a graphical powerhouse and this is to be expected. Given the good overclock, I’m interested to see how it compares to other models and if the latest drivers have made the RX 460 more competitive. Rest assured, we will be requesting a review sample in the coming days and hopefully have a detailed review of the card soon.
