Another 12VHPWR Cable Burns, This Time On The PSU Side

Another user has reported their RTX 4090 12VHPWR cable has burned but this time on the PSU side rather than GPU side.
Another Burning 12VHPWR Cable
user Shiftyeyes67k on Reddit made a post the other day on the accurately named r/4090Burning subreddit, sharing their 12VHPWR cable burning on the PSU rather than the GPU which previous situations have shown. The user was using a Be Quiet Dark Power 13 1000W which uses a native PCIe 5.0 12VHPWR connector and shows an image of the bottom row of pins having melted with the upper row coming out mostly unscathed and also shows the situation on the PSU side of things showing the same burning on the lower pins.
A Rare Circumstance
This currently is the only known report of the connector burning on the PSU side so it is to be taken with a grain of salt and could very well just be a singular defective model. TomsHardware in their report on this issue reached out to Be Quiet for a statement who told them that they have “reached out to the customer to learn more… and have initiated an investigation”. With this being a one off situation it’s hard to make a judgment, but with the significant amount of problems that have been faced already it is difficult to not feel like the 12VHPWR connector is a flawed design.
