Another AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU Shows Burn Damage After Days of Use

A few weeks ago, a user shared a case where an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU got burned. Further tests revealed that the issue happened due to an improper installation of the CPU, which caused damage to both the processor and the motherboard socket.
User Experience and Issue Discovery
Now, another isolated case has appeared, this time involving the same AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, which also shows signs of burn damage on the CPU contacts and motherboard pins. This time, the problem occurred while the user was simply using the PC.
The user posted on Reddit that they were watching a series when suddenly their PC shut off. They quickly identified the issue and saw that the CPU had burn marks on it, and the same marks appeared on the motherboard’s pins. The user insists that there were no overheating issues and no overclocking was done — they were just watching a video. In this case, there was also no mishandling, as the PC had been running for more than two weeks with new components.
Cause of the Issue and Similarity to Previous Case
The user described their misfortune as being the reason for the issue. The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D was installed in an ASRock Nova X870E motherboard, and it had the latest available BIOS version. This situation is similar to the other reported case, but due to the high demand for this processor and the fact that these are isolated incidents, it does not seem to indicate a widespread problem for this particular model.
