Another new game has been released and once again the customers aren’t happy with RedFall falling to the red with Mostly Negative reviews on Steam
RedFall is a game that takes you to the town of RedFall to fight off against vampires as a squad of 4 characters all with special abilities unfortunately, like many new releases, this game hasn’t had good reception with it featuring Mostly Negative reviews on Steam. Right off the bat, we’ll get to the obvious complaint that most games have been receiving, performance issues. Several people are complaining about micro stuttering and frame drops but performance doesn’t seem to be the biggest complaint that people have and it doesn’t appear to be as severe as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
The biggest complaint I’m seeing is that the game just isn’t good which of course is a subjective opinion but when this many people have that opinion there must be a problem somewhere be it the game or the gamers. Most of the complaints are pointing out how empty and boring the world is, how the AI is rubbish even on the hardest difficulty and the mechanics and UI are clunky.
The complaints here are very subjective but for many people to share that opinion it is looking towards two possible questions. Are gamers setting their expectations too high for games or are we just getting mugged off repeatedly because people keep letting themselves get mugged off by £60 unfinished games? In my opinion whilst developers shouldn’t be getting away with this and more regulation is needed, it is also down to us to stop pre-ordering these games. We’ve seen it time and again with triple-A titles launching broken and all we have to do is stop buying the games it’s that simple. If people aren’t buying the poor product they’ll stop making the poor product.
