Antec Advance TrueQuiet Pro 120mm Fan Review

Once we have the fan out of the packaging, we can start to look at each individual aspect of the fans design and functionality starting with the dimensions. The fan only comes in a 120mm size, though a 140mm variant could always be on the table, like was done with the original TrueQuiet fans. The full dimensions are 122mm x 26mm and the fan weighs in at 138.9g. The whole design incorporates a black plastic style that is simple, sleek and to the point. There are seven blades in total which are angled to give a turbine design, allowing for maximum airflow across the cooling surface while keeping noise output to a minimum.
To assist with vibration, Antec have fitted rubber mounting points in each corner of the fan. This allows for any vibration that the fan may create is absorbed through the rubber mountings and won’t be channelled through your chassis or any other aspect of your system.
The fan comes with a hard-wired 3 pin connector, though retail versions should include a 3-pin to 4-pin Molex adapter for those wanting to power the fan slightly differently.
Not leaving all of the functionality at that, you will also find a nifty little fan controller which allows for the fan speeds to be changed from 600RPM to 1200RPM, still giving a fairly low noise output without sacrificing the airflow needed to make this a top performing fan.
