Antec is adding a new series of power supplies to their product line called the Earthwatts Gold Pro. It is a semi-modular range of units with an 80 PLUS Gold rating. It is available in 550W, 650W and 750W capacities, which fit right on the mainstream user segment. The 80 PLUS rating means it can achieve 92 percent efficiency. That is thanks to the full-bridge LLC design with a synchronous rectification based on a DC-DC topology. There are Four PCI Express port connectors for multi-GPU support. The unit is also ErP Lot 6: 2013 and ATX12V 2.4 compliant.
Keeping the components running cool is a 120mm fan with controls by Antec’s Thermal Manager. It also feature Antec’s CircuitShield suite of industrial grade protection which includes:
The Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro is available now. The 550W model costs €76, while the 650W version costs €83. The larger 750W version has a retail price of €100. All prices include VAT. Each unit has a seven-year warranty coverage.
