Antec DF800 Flux – Dark League Mid-Tower Case Review

The DF800 Flux Dark League is a really nice case to work with, and it’s pretty familiar feeling too. Antec may have put a unique front panel and cooling system on this case, but overall, it’s a fairly standard design, and I mean that as a compliment. It’s just easy to work with, and everything fits where it’s supposed to with no weird surprises along the way.

Cable management is very good throughout the case, with a large cable cut-out in the top left. So many cases have a small hole here, and it annoys me, but Antec got it right!

There are two large cut-outs on the right side of the motherboard too, again, all easy enough to use, no big surprises here.

The GPU cables could have benefited from a vertical passthrough, however, I can understand that Antec traded that off for the PSU fan mounts. As you can see, I’ve mounted the inverted fan here, and that’s going to pull air in from the right-side panel vent. However, you can mount it here, or one space to the left. I suppose you could add a second one too if Antec sells them separately.

GPU support is excellent, with room for expansion cards of up to 405mm. Just keep in mind, that adding radiators to the front panel will eat up some of that space, so measure twice, buy once.

The Antec U12A fit with ease, just as Antec said it would, as the case has a clearance of 175mm.

Overall, with three 120mm fans in the front, and that shroud fan, there’s plenty of air coming into this case and the unique fan layout means it’s always moving in a nice upward spiral through the case too. Then you have lots of passive heat exhaust at the top and that 120mm rear fan to get warm air out of the case efficiently.

Oh, and of course, it just looks really cool too.

The front fans really do add a lot of colour to the build!

And you can either sync them with your motherboard or just push the button on the front panel to change colours/modes/effects.
