Antec DP505 White Mid-Tower E-ATX Case Review

A Closer Look – Exterior

The Antec DP505 certainly makes a strong first impression. The case is white, so it really pops, and it should look pretty cool once the Addressable RGB fans are powered up too. Obviously, that front panel is quite striking, with a huge “X” dominating that full mesh design. I like it, it’s a little bit of a nod to the PC case designs from 10-15 years ago, but at the same time has a modern and fresh look to it too.

The side panel is tempered glass but runs from edge to edge giving it a really clean look overall. There’s a white trim on the back of the glass to make it look more flush with the steel behind it. The glass is crystal clear too, so it’s ideal for showing off your hardware.

The right side panel is just a solid white panel, neat and tidy, and it’s held in place by a pair of thumbscrews at the back, so it’s easy enough to open up.

The top panel has plenty going on, with a huge ventilated section allowing lots of passive heat exhaust for the system. Of course, there’s a big magnetic dust filter on there, keeping dust and debris out of the case.

Below the filter, you’ll find mounts for up to 2 x 140mm or 3 x 120mm fans, and that also includes up to 360mm radiators too. The front I/O is nice too, located on the right side of the top panel it’s nicely spaced out and simple enough. Another thing I like, the top is flat, and since I tend to dump my Xbox controller and a few USB devices on top of my PC, they should stay firmly in place here.

At the back of the case, I’m happy to see all the fittings are finished in white too, it keeps things looking really uniform. There’s a height-adjustable fan mount at the top, ventilated and reusable expansion slot covers, and a standard ATX PSU mount at the bottom. Overall, it’s ticking all the right boxes.

Finally, on the underside, you’ll find four rubber grip feet, providing a good bit of clearance. Attention to detail points too, as even the bottom dust filter is white, and it looks great!
