As mentioned already this unit is based on FSP’s Aurum platform. This platform uses an Active Clamp Reset Forward (ACRP) topology to achieve 80 Plus Platinum Efficiency according to TechPowerUp.
A YateLoon D12BH-12 120mm fan is used to cool this unit. Given its high efficiency it doesn’t need that much cooling hence only a 120mm, not 135mm, fan.
The AC receptacle starts transient filtering with two Y caps.
On the main power supply PCB a further four X caps and four Y caps along with two CM chokes and an MOV continue the transient filtering.
The primary hold up cap is made by the Chinese company CapXon and is rated for 85 degrees celsius, 420V and 390 uF.
Group regulation, as opposed to independent regulation, is used on the secondary side of this unit. The 12 volt rail is generated by two IRLB3036 mosfets.
