Antec GX500 Window Mid-Tower Chassis Review

Complete System

The build was pretty straight forward here, the only issues I ran into were with cable routing. Space behind the motherboard is quite limited, so I used some of the space between the hard drive bays and the PSU to store excess, as without doing so the side panel at the back was virtually impossible to reinstall.

Fortunately, with a few cable ties, it’s still easy enough to get those excess cables tied up, giving us a nice tidy build overall.

There’s good clearance for the GPU, although shorter cards are advised if you’re going to use more than one of them. There’s also a good amount of clearance from the hard drive bays.

The dedicated 2.5″ drive bay is easy enough to use and it’s also a nice way of showing off the drive.

In the back of the chassis there’s plenty of room for an AIO cooler, perfect for a 120mm unit for cooling your CPU.

There’s more than enough room for SLI/Crossfire, just keep in mind the limit on the length of the cards.

Overall, a nice and tidy build and certainly better than I was expecting it to look given the cable routing issues.

All panels back in place and the build is complete. Overall, this looks pretty good, don’t you think?
