Antec HCG 850w Bronze Power Supply Review

Ripple

As per above, it would seem that even in terms of the ripple testing, the Antec HCG struggles when at low loads. In this level, we see some of the starkest figures in comparison to the rather consistent and benign ones that follow. The 5V 20.6 rating at 40% load is certainly the stand-out figure of the bunch and overall, this again acts as a consideration that this power supply is best suited to working hard.

 Load (%)   3.3V  Ripple   5V Ripple   12V Ripple
 20 7.8 16.6 8.6
 40 12.2 20.6 10.8
 60 8.4 8.6 8
 80 8.4 8.4 7.8
 100 10.6 8.6 7.8
