Antec High Current Pro 1200W Modular Power Supply Review

As a reviewer, I always look forward to reviewing an Antec power supply, primarily due to fact that they really know how to make a good one! Antec has been around since 1986 and has risen to the elite class of PSU manufacturers for no other reason than quality. Antec has made a real mark on the hardware enthusiast market, primarily with their power supplies and cases, to a point where just about any enthusiast that has been building for a few years would have owned an Antec product at some point.

There are so many power supplies on the market that all perform just as well on paper that it is very difficult to pick one out from the group. However, as we move up to this high-wattage range the competition starts to thin out and the customers are more knowledgeable about what they are looking for in a power supply. This means that, in this 1kW+ market, high quality units will often sell over gimmicky or lower quality units as the user knows what to look for- which is where Antec comes into their own.

The Antec High Current Pro series distinguishes itself from the High Current Gamer series in a statement that these units exceed the needs and expectations of gamers, and instead provides the performance and reliability that an enthusiast or professional would demand. Antec entrusted this task to Delta Electronics, who are considered one of the best PSU manufacturers around.

The Antec High Current Pro 1200W unit is a result of a ‘no holds barred’ approach by Antec who have clearly designed this product for enthusiasts and professionals looking for the best power available for their high end system.
