TemperaturesMeasuring temperatures is all about being consitent, therefore we keep a steady eye on monitoring the ambient room temperature to make sure that it stays the same. While this is constantly being monitored, we measure the idle temperature of the system using HWMonitor over a period of 10 minutes. Once this has been recorded, we load the system using Prime95 for 20 minutes and record the results again.

These are the average of the readings taken at 3.4 GHz:

These are readings taken at 4.0 GHz comparing the Antec 920 with the Akasa Venom:

These results show that the Antec 920 while on in Extreme mode has huge cooling potential and manages to beat a fairly hefty cooler by nearly 10 full degrees. This is achieved due to some serious airflow through a very large radiator, unfortunately the page before shows how much noisier this is.
