Antec One Mid-Tower Chassis Review

When we first heard about the Antec “One” we were excited to hear that the company were expanding their range to accommodate an entry level case. The promise of a lightweight chassis with many additional features such as Air filtration aids and drive bay optimization made this new concept in small tower designs very unusual.

The visual aesthetics of the “One” follow the angular design and clean lines offered by the other products in Antec’s Gaming case range. Much like most of Antec products you are sure to get a lot for your money with the Quality and design being second to none. The internal attributes of the case also offer a tidy no frills design which does what it does best, without complaining or drawing too much attention to itself.

With small design touches such as the tool-less drive bays that makes your life easier the “One” feels fit for purpose. Front connectivity is also clean and ordered with useful accessories to make build times quick and easy whatever motherboard you are using. On the market for around £45 the “One” offers quality and design aesthetics in an attractively priced bundle. Antec have not saved on design or functionality in this case and have tried to change people’s perceptions about what is on offer in the entry level market.

Overall we were impressed by the well thought out design of the “One”. The internal layout maximises the potential for builds and offers more usable space than other models in the same category. We found the case to be user friendly on the whole, with a slight issue surrounding the installation of the front blanking strips. Also in an ideal world there could be a little more room afforded for cable management as the rear of the case is still a little snug for cable hungry components. We believe that if you are looking for an entry level case that offers you a reliable cost affective platform for your build you may be onto a compact winner with the Antec “One.
