Antec P101 Silent Mid-Tower Case Review – No Glass or RGB Here!

Complete System

While it’s strange building inside a case that has the HDD bays upfront, there’s still a surprising amount of space inside it. I fit an E-ATX motherboard in here, and while it did seem a bit snug at first, and it does cover the cable routing holes a tiny bit, it does fit rather nicely overall.

The PSU shroud doesn’t run the full length of the case, but it’s still very capable. There was plenty of room left over for cramming excess cables. However, there’s a lot of space behind the motherboard too, so excess cables there didn’t feel like a burden.

There’s no vertical pass-through towards the front of the PSU shroud so the cable does have to track from near the bottom of the motherboard. Of course, there’s no window on the side, so I guess… who cares! Cable management is still really excellent overall though.

CPU cooler clearance is great too, and while I’ve used a 12cm Noctua cooler, I can’t think of an air cooler on the marker that wouldn’t fit. Of course, you could fit a 120/140mm AIO in the rear too.

There’s good clearance above the motherboard too, with some more routing holes allowing for cable to easily pass through, such as the CPU 8-pin.

There are holes below the motherboard two, two one the white bit and two vertical ones directly below those.

While the GTX 1080 Ti fit with ease, some of the new RTX cards are f****** massive, so you best measure up first. Of course, you can remove a HDD cage if you really need to, so don’t worry too much.

There’s good room between the fans and the storage though, and with three fans and surprisingly good ventilation built into the front panel, cooling really isn’t going to be an issue here.

Overall, it’s a very serious case, but it’s got just enough stylish points to really stand out from the crowd.

We don’t see many grown up and silence focused cases these days, but this one really is a winner.
