Antec PRIZM X 120 ARGB Fans Triple Pack + Controller Review

Performance
RGB is a big focus here, of course, and well, there’s lots of it! One thing I love is that the white is actually really close to a paper white, and not heavily blue or warm, so you can get some really frosty effects going here!
The colours are vibrant too, with plenty of brightness, but hey, 21 LEDs in thick frames will certainly do that!
There are a lot of built-in effects and colours on the hub too, so I’m sure you’ll find something to suit your taste without needing any software too.
This one is one of my favourites, it’s such a nice colour!
Overall though, top marks for the lighting effects and colours, they’re utterly gorgeous and vibrant.
Oh and of course, they’re the same from the back too, as there are two rings of LEDs!
Recorded Fan Speed
- 50% PWM – 997 RPM
- 100% PWM – 1988 RPM
Airflow Performance
- 50% Fans Speed – 35.89 CFM
- 100 % Fan Speed – 96.44CFM
Acoustic Output
- 50% – 34.9 dBA
- 100% – 46.4 dBA
The overall performance of the fans is really good too, at 50% RPM they were some of the quietest fans tested, coming in at just 34.9 dBa, giving them a similar airflow and noise level as the Noctua NF-F12PWM. They did become more audible at 100%, but since they’re designed as a case fan, I see no reason why they would need to be pushed that hard. They delivered identical airflow to the be quiet! LW 140 fans, 96.44, but obviously they were much louder in the process; 39 dBa vs 46.4 dBa.
