Antec PRIZM X 120 ARGB Fans Triple Pack + Controller Review

How Much Does it Cost?

The Antec Prizm X 120 ARGB PWM Triple Pack bundle, which includes the fan/ARGB controller hub is available now on Amazon with an MSRP of £57.40, but at the time of writing it was on sale for just £52.59. That’s an absolute bargain price for this much RGB, especially since it comes with one of the best hubs I’ve tested with any RGB fans. I’m starting to wonder why premium packs can cost £100+ now, as there’s no lack of features or quality here for half that price.

Overview

Antec has a real star product on their hands here, not only does it comes in significantly cheaper than I was expecting, let alone at half the price of some of the flagship ARGB fan packs that are on the market, but it delivers performance and features that are on par with any of the best on the market too.

When it comes to ARGB customisation, the more lights you have, the more customisation you have. With 21 lights in each fan, offering an inner and outer ring to illuminate the frame as well as the fan blades, you can really make your PC case pop.

These are designed as case fans, rather than radiator or cooler fans, but the air pressure is competitive enough that I think they’ll do a good job wherever you put them. I also love that the hub has room for five fans, so if you had a CPU cooler with two ARGB fans on it, you can plug them in too and ensure your whole system is synced. The only downside is I don’t see the option to bridge multiple hubs, but a few splitter cables would likely be all you need to expand to more than five fans.

Should I Buy Them?

The build quality is great, the ARGB is vibrant and the colours are gorgeous, the fans deliver competitive airflow and the noise levels are decent so long as you’re not pinning them to 100% RPM. However, what makes these an essential purchase for ARGB lighting lovers is the price, which is going to be pretty hard to beat from any big-name brand.
