Antec Unveils The GX1200 Mid-Tower Chassis
John Williamson / 8 years ago
Antec has been making PC cases for a considerable amount of time and they’ve struggled to contend with the likes of Phanteks, Corsair and other popular brands during the past few years. Despite this, Antec is working extremely hard to design innovative cases which target an affordable price point. Their latest endeavour is the GX1200, a mid-tower chassis with an estimated retail price of 84 Euros.
The GX1200 measures 500mm x 200m x 520mm (L x W x H) and compatible with mini-ITX, micro ATX, ATX and E-ATX motherboards. Also, the chassis supports video cards up to 410mm long and boasts two 3.5″/2.5″ HDD drive cages, three 2.5″ SSD drive cages and seven PCI-E slots.
In terms of cooling hardware, Antec has included two pre-installed 120mm front LED fans which support 7 vibrant colours and provides additional space for four 120mm fans, one in the front, two on top, and one exhaust in the rear chamber. There’s even room to install a 240mm radiator in the top, 360mm in the front and a 120mm using the rear. The GX1200 also has Antec’s “Magic Box” which allows the end-user to adjust fan speeds through 6 settings, and customizable the case lighting. On another note, the front panel has HD audio jacks, two USB 3.0 and LED on/off buttons.
Jack Wu, General Manager Europe at Antec weighed in on the new chassis and said:
“At a very competitive price, the GX1200 offers a lot of features and lets users be prepared for future upgrades.”
“It demonstrates the opportunity to create an up-to-date system with great airflow and space for the latest components.”
