The box that arrived at the door was a simple plain brown cardboard box with some printing on it, nothing overly special but still makes sure you know what is inside the box.
Inside this box is a whole load of foam with a panel of glass sitting on top. All this foam is of course to protect the contents hiding within.
Taking a look at what is in the box we see the first main aspect of the printer, the heated bed. This is one of the few parts that need assembling and also contains the entire power supply and computer unit of the printer.
Along with the heated bed is of course the glass print bed that is what the models are actually printed on.
The other main aspect of the printer is the hot end and extruder, once again in a single package that is ready to be attached to the rest of the unit. Something else in the box is these non-descript metal rods, at first, I had no idea what these could be for but the instructions cleared it up for me and we will come onto what they are for soon.
This one is a little more exciting than the rods we just looked at, it’s the touch screen used to interface with the printer and control it.
Next up is the filament holder, it comes in two pieces that slot together very easily.
Finally is the accessories and tools included in the box, they include a variety of things including the parts we need to assemble the printer, tools for maintenance, a micro SD card pre-loaded with files and even ten meters of filament to get you started.
