Monitors are not created equally, and when it comes to gaming monitors, even relatively small changes to the specifications can drastically impact the overall gaming experience. The new AOC 24G2ZU manages to promise many extremely attractive gaming features. Still, it leverages this onto a smaller panel that keeps the cost a little more within reach of your average consumer… well, at least for the average consumer that wasn’t pro-levels of display performance while gaming.

The screen clocks in at a modest 23.8 inches, which may seem a little small to some, but if I managed to spend my youth gaming on a 14″ portable TV with 90’s resolutions to boot, I’m sure I can manage this. Alas, what it lacks in screen size, it sure makes up for everywhere else. Four times the industry standard refresh rate, clocking 240hz is going to offer exceptional clarity while gaming. Plus, a response time of 0.5ms from its fast IPS panel will help tighten up those response times even further. If that wasn’t enough, it even has FreeSync Premium, Adaptive-Sync, and it’s G-Sync compatible, so basically, any modern GPU or games console can get the absolute best out of it.
