AOC AG271UG
Time to upgrade your dusty old monitor for something shiny and new? Then check out the new AOC AG271UG, which sports plenty of cool features to have you reaching for your credit card. Of course, we can all be drawn in by shiny marketing on the box, but is it any good? That’s what we aim to find out.
Features
Equipped with a 4K (UHD) IPS panel, visual detail is a big focus of this display. 27″ is on the smaller side for 4K, so you may need to bump up the desktop scaling. However, for gaming, it’ll be superb. It does top out at 60 Hz, so eSports and FPS fans may still want to look at 1440P 144Hz panels in the AGON range, but that’s obviously a personal choice thing. What it lacks in Hz it makes up for in G’s. Of course I’m talking about G-Sync, but remember you’ll need an Nvidia GPU to enjoy that one.
“The Agon AG271UG is the first AOC gaming monitor with 4k/UHD resolution, which offers a completely new gaming experience. The ultrawide 16:9 IPS display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology provides all important features for the best possible graphics performance. AOC Flicker Free technology and AOC Low Blue Light Mode ensure long gaming sessions.” – AOC
“Smooth 4K images: The AOC AGON AG271UG boasts a 27” 4K IPS panel capable of a 60 Hz refresh rate and a short 4 ms GtG response time. The IPS technology allows wide viewing angles of up to 178°. NVIDIA G-SYNC technology lets gamers enjoy fast-paced visuals at 4K resolution without any stuttering, tearing, or input lag. With its 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, this 27” display boasts an immense pixel density.” – AOC

What’s in the Box
Everything is pretty straight forward with this monitor. It comes in three parts; the monitor, the stand and the base. Of course, you also get a power cable, HDMI, and DP cable thrown in for good measure.
