AOC AG275QZ 27″ QHD 270Hz Gaming Monitor Review

AOC has long been a leader when it comes to high-end gaming monitors, and it looks like that trend is set to continue with the release of the new AG275QZ, a featured-packed gaming monitor for the enthusiast market. Now, this isn’t quite the flagship of the AOC range, but it’s certainly up there with the best of the best. Admittedly, with a £629.99 MSPR, it’s not exactly in the range of your typical consumer and it’s extremely expensive for a 2560 x 1440 (2K) resolution panel, which should be some indication that this isn’t just your typical 1440p monitor.

So why should you make such a big investment in a monitor like this? Especially when you can get a VERY nice 32″ 4K monitor for the same sort of money! Well, the devil is in the details here. It’s a high-quality IPS panel, offering a 1ms GTG response time with 0.5ms MPRT mode, which is going to appeal to the extremely competitive eSports players out there. 2560 x 1440 is a great gaming resolution too, offering more detail, but without the demanding requirements of 4K resolutions. You’re going to need some seriously grunty gaming hardware though, as this monitor has a staggering 270Hz refresh rate (supports a native 120hz mode for consoles) meaning ultra-low response times when using things like Nvidia Reflex. It’s also FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC Compatible, supports DisplayHDR 400, and has an impressive 98% DCI-P3 colour.

What AOC Had to Say

“For gamers that stop at nothing, the AG275QZ sports a QD-fast IPS panel with QHD resolution, HDR400 and an astonishing 1,07 billion colours for the most realistic and immersive game. Console compatible, never miss a second of the action thanks to its 270Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG.”
