AOC AGON Pro 326UD 4K OLED 165Hz Gaming Monitor Review

The AOC AGON Pro 326UD has arrived at last, no thanks to TNT couriers I’m about the last person to actually get one, but that’s a story for another day. This monitor is set to make a big splash in the gaming monitor market, and judging by how fast it sold out, I’m not the only person aware of what it has to offer. This 31.5-inch behemoth boasts a 4K OLED display, but while many similar monitors are featuring a 240Hz or higher refresh rate, this one clocks in at 165Hz. Now, as far as I’m concerned 165Hz is plenty, as even my RTX 4090 is going to be pushed pretty darn hard to max that out.

At the heart of the AGON Pro 326UD lies its QD-OLED panel. This technology fuses the deep blacks and incredible contrast of OLED with the vibrant colours and fine colour control offered by Quantum Dot technology, giving you the best of both worlds. The result is a display capable of producing images that are nothing short of breathtaking. Individual pixels emit their own light on OLED, allowing for perfect black levels and an infinite contrast ratio that has made OLED a bit of a holy grail for image quality. In-game details pop like never before, colours are incredibly rich and accurate, and HDR performance is going to look amazing thanks to VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification. With the monitor covering 99.3% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, it ensures that games, movies, and even everyday tasks are going to look their absolute best.

The AGON Pro 326UD doesn’t stop there, as the 165Hz refresh rate ensures buttery-smooth motion even in the most fast-paced games, backed up by an equally impressive 0.03ms grey-to-grey (GtG) response time that will virtually eliminate motion blur, but also support for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, and it’s G-Sync compatible too.
