AOC Announces AGON AG251FG 240Hz G-Sync Monitor

You might remember the insanely specced AGO AG251FZ that we reviewed a while ago. Now, AOC is back with the G-Sync version of it that, the AGON AG251FG. The monitor still retains the same impressive 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response times of the previous model. The downside, it’s still only a Full-HD monitor and it will cost you over £500.

“At AOC we understand the importance of NVIDIA for all hardcore gamers and enthusiasts, improving the PC-gaming experience year on year with the most advanced graphics card technologies. For that reason, we are launching a G-SYNC enabled version of our award winning 240Hz monitor,” said Alfonso Clemente, Product Manager at AOC.

Professional and competitive gameplay requires extraordinary hardware. The AGON AG251FG is without a doubt such a device.

AGON AG251FG Panel

The monitor features 24.5″ Full-HD TN panel which is slightly bigger than the common 24″. It keeps the 16:9 format with a 1920 x 1080 pixel Full-HD resolution. With a refresh rate of 240Hz and the built-in G-Sync module, you’ll have some of the smoothest gaming possible. The monitor’s 1ms response time and the NVIDIA ULMB feature also reduce motion blur and ghosting to a minimum, so that gamers can enjoy razor-sharp graphics even in the most fast-paced of situations.

Special Features

The monitor comes with other features that aim to improve your gaming experience besides the G-SYNC. It has the AOC Ergo Dial Base which comes with tilt, swivel and height adjustment. It also features a retractable headset holder and a carrying handle.

To prevent eye fatigue during extended gaming sessions, AOC Flicker Free technology also minimises flickering, and AOC Low Blue Light mode reduces potentially harmful short-wavelength blue light. For an extra advantage in dark game environments, the AOC Shadow Control option empowers gamers to brighten extremely dark areas without affecting the rest of the screen.
